hey there all,

I am having a problem with my fuel system . I have a 468 bb chevy with a holley hp manual fuel pump. ( this is what came on it when i got the car).
it has a cheap regulator with a summit oil filled pressure guage.
I set it at about 7 - 7 1/2 psi cold. As it heats up the pressure on the guage will drop to 0 , Engine still running . I have noticed that the s/s braided line from the pump as well as the regulator will be hot from the hot radiator air blowing on it . I have thougth the fuel may be boiling in the line causing the drop in pressure. I have tried to insulate the line with some plastic wire tubing to keep the air off of it. This did not seem to make a difference. The engine does not seem to ever be running out of fuel even when very hot.I may have to replace the whole fuel system from the tamk to the carb and use an electric pump. I really do not want to use an electric pump. I just need to solve this. Any help would be nice , thanks to all .......
