oil pump pickup to pan
what is the min and Max oil pump pickup to pan clearances?some times i do feel like i have a crayon in the brain
1981 Chevy monte carlo + Chevy 396 = crazy FUN!

nope and i never seen a oil pan without a gasket?????? nice job denny just one more for you lol.....just to make it clear for you it's 1/4 3/8 with the pan gasket geeezzzzzz

o crap ! the fing pickup is 3/4 he must have gave me a standerd pickup with the extra deep pan
and my shop guy welded it in

Take the pump back to him, tell him to do it right! Don't let him weld it until you check the clearance to the bottom of the pan.... Originally Posted by BBMonte

nah, just bang it a couple of times on the cross member when you install it. That oughta do it......
