My friend Andy called saturday, said do you want a 454 BBC. To which I replied how much, he said free for the taking. Now I'm a little slow but it didn't take me long to say YES! Andy say's it out of an 87 Chevy truck running. We picked it up complete from the carb to the pan. Now here's where I'm confused casting number 14015445, but on the back of the block is HI PER PASS. How many trucks came with passenger motors.

no they all say that all big blocks even low hp engines. did not matter what they were in

Hey Pat how much to overhaul the short block if I bring it up to you. Something mild around 400 to 500 hp..........LOL That's more than I can handle.
