ram jet 502 upgrades?
I was thinking about seeing if it would be possible to put a cold air intake or something to help improve the airflow, I'm not sure on the specs but i feel like the engine could use somethin to help push air through it. Any ideas on what to do, how to do it, or any different opinions on otherways to make it faster would be greatly appreciated.

On my zz502 I used a combo dynoed by Sallee Chevy. Upgrades included mild/basic porting on factory heads, matching to intake, and Crane 168731 cam, springs, and roller lifters. 850 carb. Headers. You might want to play with the ECU to increase fuel etc with these mods to take full advantage.
552 hp @ 5500 rpm and 572 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm.

I was kind of looking more along the lines of bolt on upgrades, I don't really want to have to take the whole engine apart if I don't have to.

The engine does not need to come out and those parts are all bolt on. There is no magic cold air intake that will produce real results in the breathing area on a ramjet. You need to improve the flow into and out of the cylinders, not the front end of the throttle body which has little or no restriction already.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
