buy a new piston or mill the piston domes .you did cc the head so you know it 115? them head s come in at 113 cc stock
I have not cc them the shop i got them from that did the valves said they were 115 the reason i was woundering about combustion chamber is because short block is together and balance
look up the casting or cc them first you did not say what CR you were looking for .cutting the domes is still less work then cutting and cc evey chamber. cutting .100 off the domes or less is not that much work .the pistons will be abit lighter even so you will not see any need to rebalance less you want to.you should re cc the heads i would not take there word for 115 less your 100% that is what they are .you can get more cc by just head gaskets going to a 1017-1 is 10.5 and a 1027 is 9.7 if O deck a 1017-2 is 13.7 cc this is cc for head gaskets only .... do you know were the deck is at???
thanks for the info i was looking some where under 10-1
well your going to have to check that the chamber will not hit the dome. that piston is made for open chamber head .they can hit on the EX side of the piston.if you can get 116.9 your at 9.78 CR so with heads gasket and were you are on deck and cc of the head you could be there on less or more???
i'm just trying to see what i can do with this combo i only got a grand in it so far
well cc the head for starters right now find if your at o deck or that ? you could be at 10to1 now or ???
