90-91 454 mark-4 4 bolt...
OK that block with these heads what can I expect 336781 don't know bore yet
73-85...oval...OPEN...454, 118cc chamber, 256/114cc ports, I`m assuming street oriented big block, easy 1 hr per cubic inch, with a boat load of torque. I`m also beating down craigslist.
them heads will not work on that block if its a mark 5 block less you want a leaker
I`m glad Pat caught that, because I didnot know, can you emphasis on this Pat...?
He said it is a Mark 4 block will it work??
We`re in suspense Charie....!
Heres some reading charlie...

http://www.gmclassicmusclecars.com/chevy-s.html Maybe this will help as well.
i had posted on thid but did not go thru ?? sorry i was not there for you:3dSMILE: mark 5 or 6 will not take a mark 4 head they will leak in the valley i do not care who said they will work .you can use the 5/6 heads on older mark 4 block 1965to1989 with some work on the deck water pass and the right head gaskets for the 5 or 6 engine
Nobody is disputing , just trying to understand why they don`t work together. I`m normally a small block person, just getting into the big block region.:3dSMILE:
the deck is not the same if its a mark 5 block 90to91 is a mark 5 the 781 heads are ONLY mark4 1965to1989 i have put four or five older mark 4 blocks with the gen or mark 5 or6 heads the older mark4 block is shy around the valley side of the older mark 4 block that can leak if you try the older mark 4 heads on the newer 5 or 6 block less the CNC bow tie race block
Thanks Pat thats the kinda info we need for the first time around.!
