Identifying 454 big blocks ?

Looking for some experienced input re the following -

Replacing one of the carbureted 496s in my 1989 boat (bored and stroked 454s). The casting number on these blocks is 14015445 - used in light duty trucks 1975 through 1987, and obviously held over on the marine side through 1989.

Have located a 454 casting number 361959 which the owner says is a 4 bolt main engine out of a 1980 truck.

Anyone know if these two blocks are identical as I want to bore/stroke to 496 using my forged crank and pistons, and swap on the ported rectangle heads etc? All the parts are good to go as the problem is a cracked block due to ingested mud hindering the drainage last fall.

I presume engine mounting points are common on both as well?

if both blocks are mark 4 s and should be if before 1990 .then parts will swap out all the way back to 1970 . i do not walk around with block numbers i do know some off my head the fast way is to just look at the block and crank hub you need a two pc re main seal engine .i have 12 in shop right now so i know them by look not allways numbers. you can look up the numbers the last one rings a bell

Thanks for the info. Still researching potential deck height differential as I read somewhere a while ago that some 454s were "tall" blocks with a different deck height. Anyone know of any way of identifying them?

NO the 396to454and 502 are all 9.800 the tall deck is the big truck block and only came as 366and 427 the tall deck blocks 10.200 deck all have four bolt mains mark 4 blocks have a 1/8 pipe plug up top of timing cover the deck is taller then the top water pump bolt by 5/16 or so and the 9.800 deck is 1/8

So, just to be clear, the Gen IV 454s are all identical with respect to bolting on heads, oil pans, installing cams, cranks, etc..............
The different casting numbers differentiate what then, plant of manufacture and ................?
If no difference then I can use a 286 or 289 block to replace my 1045445 cracked block with no problems (assuming they are 4 bolt mains).

all bbc parts from mark 4s can be swap around .like rods .cam. timing sets .tin . head bolts if stock heads. cranks are 4.000 two pc rear seal fit all the same iron or steel. 4 bolt mains have nothing to do with parts fitting as a stock two bolt block is the same block less 4 bolt caps and machine work .i have put 4 bolt caps on 454 and 396 blocks
