i do not. i have customers that do
I've tried a couple sets, not the ebay cheapies but some from reputable companies and they seem to work fine. I especially like the no-name fabbed covers if I want to run some unique breathers or whatever. Besides, I don't like to run things with a manufacturer's name emblazoned on them unless the said manufacturer is sending me a big fat check once a year to advertise for them!!!!!
Thanks for the info guys. Dave, what U S companies build these?
Couldn't swear that they're US made, but I've used some from Speedway as well as a couple different styles from Summit. They looked good and didn't leak--even had some engraving done on one set at a trophy shop, came out great!
Moroso ? try Competition products #7700 there made in USA there was a builder of welded covers here in town that was building alum radiators Mark one not sure if he still makes them
You may want to look into Doug Lee Engineuity, Miami, Oklahoma. They have a website. Real good products. I have two sets. They will also custom fabricate to your spec or needs........
Sound to me like there are quite a few like me that wont advertise for free either. I believe that about the only pieces on my '31 that have visible manufacturers names are the gauges and the MSD ignition pieces - and those can't come off. My valve covers and air cleaner are ball milled Billet Specialties, but you have to look at the insides to find that info.
Not sure how the fabricated covers do as far as hiding valve train noise with roller rockers and a more radical camshaft.
