his 355 stroker uses a 305 to do this parts for a 305 cost more because there not as popular with hot rodding.
make yourself a 383 you will be happier. there is no replacement for cubic displacement:D
when asking please post the brands you found and the sizes....IE bore size and stroke lenght...this may help answer the question better.... thanks

I came up with 339 cubic inches, maybe I used the wrong calculation.
Bore x Bore x stroke x .7854, is this correct or did I go wrong.

No you were right, I listed the stock stroke, try this
BORE= 3.795 (305 + .060)
STROKE= 3.885"
ROD LENGTH= 5.700"
ROD RATIO= 1.48
BLOCK HEIGHT= 9.001"
= 352ci
Thats what happens when I try an exercise the grey matter at 3am :whacked:
my blazer has a 350 30 over with edlebrock carb, intake, and cam
it did a good job untill the head gasket gave out
but it keeps spewing oil out of the breathers
do i even need breathers?
i'm more of a body man then mechanic

Yeah, no kidding, a lot of work. I've heard of fellows stuffing a 4" crank in a small block, but I've never seen one. It's on the ragged edge to clearance a motor for the 3.750" stroke in some cases. And I don't know why anybody would want to bolt a 4.000" crank in a 305 block anyway. Sorta' like a pig wearing pearls.
3.736 x 4.000 = 350.79 cid
3.766 x 4.000 = 356.45 cid
3.796 x 4.000 = 362.15 cid
