I'm contemplating sleeving a block, if possible. The factory bore is 3.91, with a max allowable overbore of .060. Bore spacing is 4.46. 4.125 bores would leave .250 between cylinders, which I'm told would be as tight as I'd want to go (I'd like to confirm that, BTW, as the source is only semi reliable).
Does anyone know who supplies sleeves? How about a point in the direction of a shop that's capable of performing such tasks, as well ;) I'd certainly appreciate some light.
Any good automotive machine shop with a boring bar can sleeve a block. You can try www.Goodson.com for sleeves. There are several other sources.
I didn't see cylinder sleeves @ Goodson. Do you know of any others I should try?
I'm all for net searches lol...Unfortunately, the trusty AOL search engine hasn't turned up anything more than sleeves for aluminum LS1 and import blocks. Google didn't cross my mind though. Thanks ;)
you can buy sleeves at your local parts store, i know kragen has a whole slew of clevite parts.... thats where i bought sleeves for my ford 390
