    what is it help please

     



    i need some help i have recently bought 83 el camino with a 4.3 v6 i am only 16 and my grandfather had an 82 malibu classic that he didnt drive and on the stickers in the front end it said 4.6 liter and i know its a v8 i was wondering if this was the 283 or 267 engine thanks

    It should be the 283. I'm just assuming, since ford's 4.6 is a 289.
    If your not sure find some numbers on the engine. www.mortec.com has pretty much any chevy small block number.

    well the 283 production was stopped in 67-68 i do belive so 83 would be the 267

    ok thanx alot i was kinda hopin it was the 283 but they did stop makein these in the ealier years well looks like i have to work pretty hard to get this little engine kickin
