383 stroker parts need help!
ok, I know I am going to do a 383 with a 6 71 blower, already have the bottom end decided, now I need to start the slow process of assembling, is there a bare block already machined (4 bolt main) already decked, bored, i can buy anywhere? or a shortblock assembley with forged pistons to end up with 8:1 with AFR 195cc Street heads, straight plug w/ heat riser 72cc combustion competition package? I also am wondering about the cam, I want it to still be somewhat street driveable (weekends/to the track) on a 3500 stall with the th400 tranny, what cam should I go with if im expecting anywhere from 8-12lbs of boost from the charger? I want to be near the 10 IF I get traction (going into a 2001 s-10) so is there a shortblock already made up to specs to hold up to this kind of power/air from a blower, or is there a good bare block to start with?
