i have a questions what is floated pins and pressed pins which ones the best to have
Floating wrist pins are free to rotate in both the rod and the piston, and are usually secured by C-clips in the pistons. Pressed-in pins are a tight fit in the rods, and that is what holds them in place. The floating pins are more expensive to make, so are not popular with the automakers. The floating pins are better, but not enough better to convince the beancounters.
which ones best to have
Full floating pins are better for if you are building a first class performance engine. I've had engines with both, and it doesn't make a lot of difference on a mild street engine. But if I am going to the expense of forged pistons and 6 inch rods, then I will also utilize full floating pins. Others may disagree.
FOR 400 H.P. STREET ENGINE OR LESS JUST RUN A PRESSED PIN.YOU WILL SAVE A FEW BUCK'S.
