if you have a 350 and installed a 305 balancer on it. then the mark on the 305 ballancer will not match up with the 350 timing tab on the block.Quote:

you can take a hand file to the ballancer, and make a new mark. just be sure the number 1 cyl is at TDC.
i got proper timing tab to convert 305 to 350 from jegs for the block, do i use zero on tab to match to mark on balance when using piston stop method ?
find TDC with the piston stop, then center punch the damper at the zero mark on the tab and put a dab of yellow paint in the center punched mark with a toothpick.
thanks i will try it monday when piston stop comes in
