Cubic Inches = Ahead In The Game

sooo this was not worth the 75 bucks I gave for it?dang its smaller than a 350 ,better junk it ,..........it just makes laugh when I think about a 200hp flathead and the guys that thought it was top fuel power and now if u do not have a bigblock, a mistake was made?lol:LOL: :LOL: I say build the small motor ,build the big motor and learn for yourselves and then u will truely know what works for u,some people do not need all that power,for some of us it can never be powerful enuff !!There is a reason when someone logs on and does not know about motors and power ,knowledge and lack there of,keeps people outa trouble sometimes ,catch what I am sayin,sooo do not be quick to talk 1st timer into a blown bb nitrous motor ,it may not be what is needed for a first build .Johnny first time comes here and his first motor is 500hp and he gets it sideways into a ditch,car,house or you!!!!:(

Hi Performance cars are to me a balance of horsepower, handling, and stopping ability. A light car with a little motor can achieve this balance easier and cheaper then a heavy car with a big motor. What Mike said about increased cost to make the rest of the car live and work with the big inch hi torque motors is very true. As far as aluminum big blocks, yup they build them. But they also build aluminum small blocks...... Been around the block a couple times myself and have found these things to be true!!!! But hey, it's still JMO.... I'm just thrilled that we don't all build and drive the same flippin thing!!!! Then what the heck would we argue about???????????????

true, and if you're building a st. car for fun you dont build a 500+ hp motor either. a car that want hool up is no fun to drive, been there done that. if you want to profile then thats another story. and if you're hooking up your 600+ motors to the st. then you need to retune.

its all fine:LOL: when i was at the track i lost because i brokeout one and got hole shotted once but every time i raced i was whooping 350's not very fast mind you but still:LOL: ive seen 283's 301's 302's 327's run 10 and 9's and ive seen 350's 406's run 10's and 9's it can be done either way i just take 100% satisfaction when i beat the ss396 chevelle (and any other thing like a 350 really) across the line and hes all like wtf is in that thing! and i tell them then they get mad and kick there car:LOL:

:) :) Used to have a '71 Maverick. .030 over 302, roller cam, aluminum heads with a 5 speed and a 9". Fiberglass fenders, doors, hood, bumpers, and deck lid. Lexan windows. One plastic seat, frame ties, and a 6 point roll bar (moly). Went across the scales at 2,180 pounds. Surprised a whole bunch of big blocks with it. There's always at least two ways to achieve the same results.......:) :)
