the 4.3 in my truck is tired and the valve seals are toast. would putting on a set of 4.3 heads that are almost new help it run any better?

It has been my experience that if you do that, you'll blow the rings out of the block.
are you serious? ive never heard of that
You will end up with a tired 4.3 with good heads. You will also need a spark plug factory and an oil refinery. If it's tired, it needs rebuilding. In my experience, it will suck oil like it's a pump. Why not do it right? You'll only end up there after you get tired of the smoke trail you'll leave behind.

I may be old, but it took me a while to get there.

Do it outside when the weather cooperates, pulled a few that way myself.Quote:

if the valve seals cause low cylinder compression, when u bolt on new heads or rebuild ur old 1's, the extra compression will blow out the rings, and it will burn oil if it dosn't arleady. I think it's because the rings seat themselves into being lower compression, and can no longer ajust to the higher compression.
ahhhhh that does make sense... never thought of that lol
