GM vortec heads
got the GM vortec head an i wanted to know would this help the 305 gain a lil more power an also thinkin bout the small 50 shot of nos
here is the specs on the head i got from the shop..Combustion Chamber Volume (cc): 64 Intake Runner Volume (cc): 170cc

The 64cc head will drop your compression. There are Vortecs for the 305 and I believe they are 58cc.I intend to live forever; so far, so good.

Yep, I am going to put a set of 305 Vortecs on my 350 vortec block. Not sure how much more compression it will give, but I know if you do the opposite your CR goes down.
