FI on a 327.
I am swapping out my gutless 305 later in 2004-early 2005, with my 327 that i had build awhile back, as far as i can remember, i have stage 3 cam power package(i dont remember the specs), ported the intake, highest Airgap manifold i could find, 5 angle valve job, and double roller chainset, hump heads dont remember the "CC" they are hi-nickel content, corvette style valve springs and self-align roller-tip rockers w/ guide plates and screw-in studs. engine came out of a 1969 327 Impala SS.
Okay now i had the engine built for power not fuel economy, also its required to use 91+ octane, its built to run a carb from 650-800cfm.
My question is what kinda Fuel injection will support 450+HP the edlebrock MPFI only goes up to 450hp MAX, i plan on trying to get as much as possible but i would also like to beable to tune it for emissions(exemption is 1965 and older), street and strip. I dont have to worry much about Elevation since Arizona is pretty flat.
BUT heres the catch I need to able to buy a kit and have my current manifold modified to accept the FI, reason being i spent $200 on the manifold and i know i will never get that out of it. Or i could just stick w/ a carb no problem there i still dont like computers. I am planning on completing my engine and swap by 2005, i still have to comeup w/ $$$ to buy a decent AT, and beef up my 9bolt rear or buy a 12bolt.
This engine is going in 1988 Camaro SC. so i still have smog.
