Valve Stem Seal ?
Great advice from you all on my last post re valve stem seal replacements - I've got 1 & 6 done. But I want to check one thing before I go too much farther (being new to this and all):
I've placed the o-ring seals on the valves in the second groove (closest to the head) before compressing the spring to put the keepers back in. When I do that, it pushes the o-rings out of the groove. Is that right or should I somehow be putting the o-rings in after compressing the spring but before placing the keepers?

Compress spring, then install o-ring. It is designed to keep oil from dribbling down the valve stem through the keepers from the rocker tip when running. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?
The first model car I built was a 32 Ford roadster by Revell in the mid 50's.
