Opinions
Hello all
Trying to decide what type of rod to go with, a brushed rod end for a floating pin or the pressed on kind, any opinions out there either way? thanks
By the way my name is Joe from Fla, cool site

If you're a racer who will be disassembling the motor frequently, the floating pins will be easier to disassemble. They may also free up a little horsepower if you are looking for the very last bit of power you can bolt into the motor. I've found them more of a pain in the butt than anything else, winding and unwinding the Spirolocs.
If this is a street motor, it won't make a tinker's damn. Use the pressed rods and have it over with.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

I agree with techinspector1, if your not tearing the engine down on a regular basis , it really isn't worth the extra cost.

If you stronger rod for the street and strip use I would go with Scat Rods, Oh Yes!! Scat do have press in fit rods with screw in rod bolts( Use no nuts).
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
