Ok, got the old 283 out of the '57 Wagon....haven't got it apart yet but it looks like half the cam is sticking about an inch out the back of the block. It's an old block, complete with canister oil filter, oil fill tube in the intake (2 bbl), and a road draft tube out the back of the lifter valley...

So, all you mouse motor (Scooter) guys---Whoever comes up with the neatest Ford parts that I may or may not ever have a use for you can trade me out of it. Should (hopefully) get it apart this weekend sometime and let ya know what numbers and condition of the innards. Entertaining trade offers only, cash is for sissies!!!!!
