400 small block build for 69 camaro. Anyone with desktop dyno?
So here's the 400 I'm building right now. Haven't finished it yet but it's getting close. For the most part a budget build. Should be REAL torquey!!! Here's the specs...
short block: 400CID
400 small block chevy 4.125" stock bore
stock dish pistons with new rings
stock 5.565" rods
stock 3.75" stroke crank
9:1 compression
Heads:
Fuelie Corvette heads 461's. 2.02 1.6 valves. Pocket ported. Estimated at 225cfm at .500 lift. Use your best judgment on flow numbers, the heads have not been ported just yet. Estimated 75% Exhaust/Intake flow ratio. 64cc combustion chambers.
Camshaft: Hydraulic flat tappet
Lunati Voodoo part#60102
Advertised dur. 262 intake 268 exhaust
Duration @ .050 219 IN. 227 EX.
Lift: .515 Intake, .538 Exhaust (with 1.65 roller rockers)
LSA is on 112
I believe this cam timing is taken at .050"...
Intake opens 1.5 degrees BTDC
Intake closes 37.5 degrees ABDC
Exhaust opens 49.5 degrees BBDC
Exhaust closes -2.5 degrees ATDC
Weiand Stealth dual plane intake manifold
Hooker 1 3/4 inch headers
750cfm Holley vacuum secondary carburator

In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
