SBC tri power
I am still trying to improve MPG on my 34. I am thinking of trying a 3x2 rodchester on Offy or Eddelbrock progresive linkage. I know Barry Grant has some really cool mulity carb and even a inline 4 barrel, but to pricey for me.
Any thoughs or experinces.....Thanks

Find a matched set, easier to balance IMHO.

I will use a set that is all ready set up. Was hopping for what people though about how they preform and if there is any milage ganes to be had

charlie price vintage speed sells some good set ups.

There are several guys on here that run triples. But they are not synonymous with better fuel mileage. Unless perhaps you use a progressive type linkage that only turns on the out riggers under heavy throttle conditions.
IMO a spreadbore 4-barrel carb with vacuum secondaries would be more efficient. And one heck of a lot easier to tune with many fewer parts.
Of course for looks the triples are really nice compared to a clunky spreadbore.

Got an original J2 set on my 57 Olds (three two barrel Rochester 2G's). No tuning problems, only have to set the center carb, the others will join in when you want them.
My engine is the bb Olds 371, and my mpg ranges 6 - 8. But you likely will have a smaller engine, lighter car and maybe a overdrive tranny, so your mpg might be much better. But most 2 barrels will be larger and thirstier than a small 4 barrel with small primaries.
And yes the 3 x 2 look is a winner, but at a price.:D
