Purchasing a New Block
I was looking on Scoggin-Dickey and a new 350 bare block is only $576.00. Does it require any additional machine work or is everything already done? Good, virgin 350's are getting hard to find around here. If it doesn't require additional machine work, it would be cheaper than prepping a used block. If I could order it through my local GM dealer, I could probably get free shipping also. My biggest concern is getting a block with Hecho en Mexico cast into the back. I like my truck made in USA.

Hey now, I don't have the money to experiment with different combinations that work best so I have to rely on the knowledge of those who already have, ie. yourself, my grandpa, and this guy at my college.

Scoggin dickney is very expensive compared to summit or jegs.

Same block is $700 on Summit, that is $125 more than SD.

Wow, that suprises me, I have all 3 mags and when I looked at carbs, summit was about 150 bucks cheaper than SD, although i never looked at bare blocks in either book, summit is deffinetly cheaper on most things. Is the block you looked at, Part # 10066034? this block is 579.95 in SD, I could not find it in jegs or summit but I trust your word.
