Oil???????
My motor has a roller cam and lifters, what oil should I use?????
Cam hot street/ bracket race.
What brand and viscosity??any suggestions....
Cars most of the time on the street.60 Vette 350 5speed not much stock.

I'd suggest Royal Purple break-in oil, changed after the first 30 minute run-in, then changed again after 500 miles. Then I'd go with Mobil 1 after the break in. I've used Mobil 1 on street, street-strip, and all out race engines ever since it came out in the late 70's.... On the street, I change the filter and add a quart every 3,000 miles, change it all at 12,000 miles. On the strip, we run the same oil all summer, change (and cut open and inspect) the oil filter every week..... Oh yeah, for racing I use the 15W50.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

My uncles 1000HP Top Dragster runs Royal Purple and would not go with anything else. The reson why is you will be sold one what goes into producing Royal Purple oil...watch this video...

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
