i was just wondering if that 5.3 would be worth grabing after one of those pickups was totaled. but i guess not i will stay with the good old engine blocks

damn, maybe i will stick with the good old engine blocks, if its gonna cost me that much just for something to turn around and rebuild.

Get yourself one of them LS-1's. It's an all-aluminum 5.7 thats underated at 320 hp and costs only $6000 as a turn-key motor with ECU.
ya i can do that too, i just was talking to one of my friends down at napa, and we where talking about the aluminum v.s cast blocks does the aluminum wear out faster then the cast? i know the aluminum cools faster then cast but i really don't care about the cooling i will get it to cool no mater what but is that true about aluminum?
