Engine Dyno Program
Hey Guys, downloaded the Comp Cams CamQuest6 program and was playing with engine combos and was wundering if anyone knows how accurate this is to an actual dynoed engine?
Looking to build an aluminum headed 355 or 383 sbc for the street.
Did notice a big difference going from hyd. flat tappet to hyd. roller cam.
Rollers are of course more money but more benefits and output.
Any feedback on this program?
Thanks.

its a little high, give it about a 5% variance in actual power. built an engine i know with the specs and i know wut it runs, dynoed out at 144 hp and 162 lb/ft. the comp cams gave it a 152 hp an 166 lb/ft with the same setup. remember this program doesnt take into account the air temp or nothin. its close, but a dyno gives REAL numbers.
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
