SBC Oil Pan Gasket, Highly Recomended
I hate oil drips, or for that matter anything that leaks. I'm running a cal custom cast aluminum oil pan on my 327 and have been plaged with a slight drip. After originally installing engine, I thought it was rear main seal, as I did not install it myself. When I pulled engine I installed a new double lip rear main and new pan gasket. 2 days later the drip returned. So while I had it up in the air and was installing new radiator, I pulled the pan again... I have seen the fel pro, and other, one piece oil pan gasket. Even read a comment about getting rid of the bright blue line between pan and block. Guess what? I don't care if it's purple with yellow spots. I installed the fel pro, BRIGHT, blue oil pan gasket and not a drop. I do not usually give glowing product endorcements, because if it works all its doing is what you paid for, but this gasket gets my Highly Recomended seal of approval. There are others out there, I have seen black ones, but I know this one fit great, and best seals great. Fel Pro # OS34509T for 55 to 86 SBC with dip stick on drivers side. Now I love that danged bright blue line between my aluminum pan and green block!:3dSMILE::3dSMILE::3dSMILE:
