hey Im new to cars and am going to buy this awesome 78 vette. The only problem is it has the 185hp L-48 350. I would think a 350 could put out more than that. Does anyone know of good performance mods that can be done? Any help is appereciated thanks- mike
take the damn smog off of it and it will run a lot better and give you more hp. but if you want to leave it there i would get a cam. and carb. and maybe some headers to go with it.

L-48 is a trash motor. If you can buy the car cheap, just drop a crate motor in it and go fast!! In 78, the L-82's weren't much better, Just a bunch of smog dogs.
