Chevy valve covers don't leak
Dave,Dave,Dave......................ya gots to buy the clear ones soooooooo ya can see where their leaking.:whacked::eek::LOL::LOL::LOL:
Something to consider while pondering rocker box covers, i bet you'll wind up with jesel. Only a few covers have enough clearance. I know of nothing vintage, they are all too narrow. I got a beautiful old set of weiand finned i'd offer up but they won't work for either stud girdle nor jesel.
they make cast spacers for the covers so they still can be use or if he can not find any i know some guy on here all the time that can :3dSMILE: has for the jessel or T&D. there nice. with 7/16 studs and a good rocker arm with a Jomar bar he can make this work . would a shaft rocker be nice yes but he can get by with out it is up to him it is dave money if your thinking there not wide enough please explain ? every thing has to fit inside of the oil rails of the head . springs rockers Jomar bars . so the covers should not be to narrow. rockers are just 1.6 and springs would be a 1.550 pac spring so were would they hit ? if needed to be taller you use a spacer i done it many time s on the bbc
If you go with the spacers, heres' a pic of those wieand, they really are in great condition. I think they're late 60's early 70's? This isn't a very good pic, i didn't polish and gussy it up - i'm no salesman - i'll offer them up, cover the cost of the ride.
The old Weiand's are way kewl OJH! certainly do have the vintage look!!!! Not much done on anything on the '57 this week, holiday and the Plymouth took priority!!!
How large they gotta be Dave, 7/16 screw in studs with erson roller rockers, they are the MT valve covers only with Holley logo on them, some what vintage.
well they should fit m/t holleys moroso. the old wieands they round at top and may hit the JOMAR bars M/T.holleys .moroso are flat tops so if spring setup is going to be hi that you may need to use a spacers but you have a better chance with out any spacers with the holleys
