oil pan gasket replacement
I have a 84 tbi engine and i was wondering if I can replace the OIL PAN gaskets with the motor in the car. The leak isnt bad, it looks like the wind is pushing a little thin line of oil the length of my pan --(from front to rear)
I know for sure there is enough clearance
So my question is......(if I buy the 4 peice gasket set)
how do i get the front and rear gasket to stay in place?
Permetex should keep the pans (side gaskets) in place.
Do i just stick the U shape gaskets on the pan and push it up?
Or do I stick the front gasket in the timing chaincover and push the pan up?
Im confused
can some body give me simple instructions on how to change the oil pan gasket ****not the one peice seal****
."If it dosen't run, chrome it"

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
