Aluminum or iron heads? Who made the heads/pistons? Forged or cast pistons? How much boost pressure you after? Are you going to aftercool it? Got a knock sensing spark retard unit? Target A/F ratio?Quote:

I'd say lower the compression a little, just to be shure you don't blow the top off the engine.
As long as your just gonna use it as a driver, i wouldn't worry about 9:1. I ran a 6-71 on a small block for a few years with 9:1 and never had a problem. It also depends on how tight the rotors are, but I wouldn't worry.
