Chosing a camshaft, Help
I have a 350 small block, Just took it to school, bored 30 over, honed, baked, blasted, decked, and the mains are perfect. I am buying a master kit from northern auto parts. The motor will have a STOCK crank, after market rods, flat top pistons, and possibly vortec heads, A decent rise intake, and a holly 4 barrel 650 cfm. I am having a difficult time choosing a camshaft. It will be a 4 speed, so no need for a stall converter.
I am in between 292/292 dur 488/488 lift, 300/300 dur, 515/515 lift Or somewhere in between there. I want a nice lopy cam, that makes some good torque. If you could give me some info I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
