Motor mounts not lining up

Ok, thanks everyone for all the help! I finally got my engine in my truck. It ended up being the wrong mount. The correct mount was just a tad bit shorter, not as curved (more boxy looking), and the holes for the through bolt was closer to the block by about a 1/4". The correct brackets also have the nut attached to the passenger side mount whereas the other mount did not.
I attached a picture of the original mount and the correct mount side by side, and as you can tell, they are not much different at all. The correct mount is the one in front (the one I haven't painted black yet)

Thanks again everyone for all the help! With the correct bracket, it literally took 5 minutes to put the block in. It dropped right on the mounts perfectly! :D

I think that nut is there so you put the bolt in from the rear . The fuel pump would be in the way,going from the front.

Just when you think you've seen it all .....

Ran into this delima on a 350 install from a 2wd 1990 suburban into a 4wd 91 Suburban. Big thanks to Clubhotrod forum making the solution public.

where did you find those brackets? do you have a part number for them?

The thread you've posted to was last active in October 2011, and unfortunately the original poster who "solved" the problem was last active two weeks later, November 1, 2011. Back in Post #5 there was a clue with some numbers that might help you....but looking at them on NAPA's site they appear to be the frame portion, not the block so may be no help.
