Hi guys, new to the forum. After a day of cleaning our the barn, I moved my 55 chevy that has a SBC 350 /350 turbo 10 bolt rear. I did the swap many years agoa nd basically left everything stock on the engine. I started the engine today, hard starting she kep stalling out. I tried again rev'd her up and next thing I know white smoke burning off of my exhaust. I drove her out and as soon as I got her out of the barn turn it off and tried to find some air that did not contain white oil burnt smoke.
This is about the time I really got worried, I looked back and I followed a very healthy trail of oil all the way back into the barn where there was a HUGE puddle of oil. Needless to say I am REALLY worried. I walked away from it and went on with my work. I came back later and the engine will turn over. (I did not run just see if she'd turn over). Absolutly dry of oil. Very little oil splash in engine compartment, all of it went right out of the bottom end. I did not look at it yet and am trying to calm down. I had my son pull the oil filter thinking by maybe some grace of God it split or was punctured, but no.
Before I raise her up and put her on stands any thoughts? Could this be a minor issue? I hope..... I did not hear any knocking before the smoke. I also did not notice any metal pieces trailing or under the car. PLEASE guys tell me this can be minor? Please?

Thanks
Robb
