i measured my cylinders on my 350 with a dial caliper to see if it had been bored and it measured 4.070 is that 70 over bored or what my father told me u can only bore 60 over unless u sleeve the cylinder walls

See if you can borrow a dial bore gauge.
did it come with any pistons? or was this just a bare block?
that would be .070 over if the block is old enough you may get away with it. I've had to sleeve them at .060. I would have it checked before buying pistons and rings you could be wasteing your $$.
zollner made cast pistons to 080 not sure if i would bore just any 350 out that far have to look it over good ... really i never bored one past 060 more then that for a sleeve ... that alot for a thin block to start with .but if it.s the only block ? better blocks around here are EZ to find so it.s your call

yes it came with pistons flat top
yeah Pat's right, it's why i was curious if it came with any pistons. typically they'll be stamped right on top of the piston although i have seen a few cast on the inside opposite of the inside marker cast. here's a pic (not the best) but just an example.
