oilpan gasket
im changing my oilpan gasket should i use a one piece with steel inserts also instructions say no sealer or the 4 piece with sealer?? thanks smallblock in a 86 k5 blazer

I like the Fel-Pro one piece blue soft rubber w/grommets to prevent squish, super clean surfaces, no sealer, and use the plastic installation guides to hold the gasket in place while you place the pan and get all bolts in place. I've had good luck with two of them on SBF's. They're a bit more money, but they don't leak.Roger

Let me second Roger's advice about Fel-Pro. I use Fel-Pro on my engine for about anything that needs a real seal .... and their steel/rubber oil pan gaskets and valve cover gaskets will stop pesky leaks almost every time.Dave W
