Good point. The machine shop will have charts to know how to cut the intake manifold, depending on the block and head cuts. Even at that, you should mock up the assembly and verify that there are no gaps and that the intake gaskets will be pinched all the way around each and every port. Plan on sacrificing a set of intake gaskets for that purpose. If you don't get the ports sealed, the motor will pull oily crankcase vapor into the cylinder through the intake valve and you won't like the results.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
