I currently drive a 1993 gmc 1500 2wd, regular cab long box. It has a 305CI TBI with an auto trans(4L60-E) in it and it has a 308 rear end. It currently is my daily driver but when I'm done my rebuild I am hoping for it just to be a for fun project truck. I bought a 350 TBI out of a 95 pickup and it is at the machine shop as we speak its getting bored 30 over with flat top pistons 4 valve release. Im hoping to be pushing 400hp when im all said and done which is a lot of work I know but it will be my project truck. I was going to put in a carb and a manual trans so I can take out the computer. Im going to put a good set of headers on it and a good intake. I have an full edelbrock fuel system with a liftpump as well as, AFR 195 heads. What kind of camshaft should I run in this 350 I want something lumpy and mean sounding with some good power. The machine shop was thinking I should go with comp cams 477 480lift (part # 12-600-4). What are peoples thoughts about this? How does everything sound?
