Truck is a 92 k2500 motor from a 69 camaro
4 bolt main 202 heads, has a mid cam in it not sure of exact numbers
I built motor sold truck guy burnt cam out and replaced it
Has edelbrock intake and 600 carb trYing to figure out what this is its not bottom end

Welcome Aboard Gregedanz, good to see you here. when you say cam "burnt out" are you saying the lobes were damaged and flattened?
When the cam was replaced, was the motor disassembled, cleaned and new bearings installed? If not - then all that metal from the damaged lobes traveled through the motor and more than likely caused more damage.
It ate off one lobe, and as far as I know he did, this just don't sound like typical rod knock to me, if you put a stethoscope on block, heads, and valve covers it's faint but on intake it is extremely noticeable
Not a knock, it's an exhaust leak.

I hear lifter noise, and when he rev's it, I hear the rod knock. I think he has an oil pressure problem, possibly due to the cam failure. If the engine isn't taken apart to fix, he is going to wish he had.
Get a set of oil pan, valve cover and intake manifold gaskets--------

While you have it torn down, it would be well worth the expense, if there is some way you can afford it, to replace the cam with a roller cam and kit.
