Brake Line Leaking
Bleeding the brakes on a 32 coupe project. I think I have mustang brakes on the front with earls plumbing stainless line connecting to the caliper.
It appears the banjo fitting that screws into the caliper is leaking. I have taken it off and it has two copper washers one on each side and I taped it with teflon this last time I had it off. Still leaks????????

Sounds like you need some new copper gaskets. You might be able to pick some up in your local auto parts store, probably in brake hardware section. I wouldn't recommend using teflon tape on anything related to brakes due to the pressure that goes through those lines and brake fluid will probably eat it anyway.

Lose the teflon. Get new copper washers and make sure there is no burr left on the caliper or hose end. I usually take a very fine file and make a very light pass over both sides of the washers just to make sure there is no burr that will screw up the seal.

Yep, lose the teflon. The seal is on the washers, sealing the threads will do you no good at all.
