....Hey Everyone, I hope all of you folks are having a great New Year! ;)... Has anyone run these tires??? They are Dot approved & I think they look sorta cool. Although I wish they were a little wider {9 1/2" is the max}. Any opinions on these??? Thanks all, Bill
they are Firestone, tubeless, 4 ply nylon & come in blackwall or whitewall. 15" or 16". I want 16's with blackwalls......
I want to put them on these wheels. ET III, Fueler, 10 x 16's.....{polished ones though}....
I have seen that style but not white wall if needed.Check the scorpion 5 thread in the drag racing forum ,you will see them in the back round.

I've been caught on the street in the rain with cheaters on, and "spooky" may be one of your bigger understatements.
Wrinklewalls are even spookier. I used to drive my GTO on the street with M/T wrinklewalls and 90/10 uplock shocks. How I got this old, I'll never know . . .

I am going to be running the same Firestone 10:00 X 15 slicks on my T, and have the same concerns about wet roads. It only rains in Florida every day most of the year.:D :D They look great on there, but I will probably have a second set of regular tread tires to run most times, and just mount the slicks for cruises and shows. I don't feel like wearing out $ 500. worth of tires in probably very short order.
I used to run 11 inch M & H dragster slicks on my '68 Mustang, and they were VERY squirelly when wet.

I, like HR and Dave, ran wrinkle walls on the street and let me tell you, I was insane to do it. It did look kool but didn't work very well unless you could get a burn-out to clean them off, otherwise street tires worked better. We didn't have the big wide tires we have now back in the late 60's early 70's. I still haven't figured out a rear tire for looks and performance for the rear on my car, so this is a good thread for me to watch.

.....yes I also got 'caught' in the rain once with Mickey Thompson wrinkle wall drag slicks. Not a fun thing to drive on & myself being older & a little {but not much} wiser I probably wouldn't do that again. But these wouldn't be as bad as wrinkle wall slicks.... So I'm going to go for it..... I'd like to Thank everyone for all the replys. It's great to have a bunch of knowledgeable car guys/gals to run my ideas by. At least now I see that I won't have any unforseen problems running these {yeah only FORSEEN problems}..... Bill
Keep us informed about tires. Hopefully the 'stones will be more "Wet" tuned than a pair of race slicks.
