i use an aluminum "small" racing jack from Harbor Freight to raide my I beam axel. Its 3 1/2" tall and just fits under nicely. Cost about $80 bucks

I bought a small aluminum Porsche sissor emergency jack at a swap meet and made a small adapter plate for the contact point. It's small, light to carry and is very low. I see new ones all the time at Pomona and Long Beach Meets for about $25.00 Now where to put the spare tire that's another question.
