I picked up a project and am now in the process of finishing up the chassis. I went with hot rod flatz copper pearl, running a sbc with a 700r4. Thought I would post a couple picks of the build. I may have some questions down the line. I am using a duvall style windshield by Ian Roussel that I will have to form to the cowl its a three piece windshield that is straight out of the cast, Anyone done one of these? Check it out and let me what you think, any sugestions appreciated.

Wow, do I LOVE that color! Very similar to the one I used on my '23. :) I had heard Hotrod Flatz was starting to carry gloss colors, and it really looks fantastic on your frame. You are doing a great job on the whole thing.

Streetrod, that's a great looking color. Will you being doing the car in the same color or you going the contrasting route? Almost makes me want to strip the paint of my car and go with something shiny and bright like yours.:eek: Nah, I don't think so. Love the color, hate the work.:LOL: :LOL:

The car will be the same color, it is actually flat so there is very little gloss, tank appears glossy cause it was wet when the picture was taken. This has so much pearl it really pops, the pictures do no justice. Thanks for all he feed back I will post more pics later and through the build.Quote:

Did I mention, I HATE BODY WORK? I am running low on patience so I decided to take a break. This is not the best glass body I have ever seen, the body line on the doors dont match up with the lines on the cowl and quarters so I am having to fill and adjust, I really dont like this part. The door body line was hour glass shaped and really looked horrible, slowly getting better.
I tried something different and I like how it worked, I used clear bra and ran it along the top edge of the frame just where the body mountsand brought it down the outside 1 1/4" it protects the paint and you dont notice it at all.
I picked up a set of gauges from a Studebaker that I thought would look cool, let me know what you guys think.

You are finding out what lots of us have found out........most fiberglass bodies are not something you can just scuff and paint. Almost all of them have some alignment or flaw issues to take care of, but it looks like your solution is a good one, and what separates a really nice car from a so so car. Jack (Henry Rifle) wrestled with his '34 too, but finally got it looking great.
As for the gauges, I like them. Nice change from off the rack gauges IMO.
