Removing package tray behind seat on 5 W
Guys. I have to either shorten or remove the package tray behind the seat on a 5 window. Can someone explain the best way this should be done? I will remove altogether if this will make a cleaner upholstery job, or I will go to the trouble of shortening if this helps the upholsterer in making the panel between the back glass and side glass. Can someone help here? Thanks

Take it out and move the seat as far back as you can get it. You need all the leg room you can get, and your upholsterer can compensate. It is no big deal.

The rear glass on my 5 window is the roll up type. Is the flange where the five bolts are on the drain pan / regulator access panel being cut off flush with the rest of the drain pan? This flange also supports the back of the package tray.

Sorry, did not know you were using the roll-down rear window. That would change things a bit. I can't answer your question as I have not worked on one of those before. Perhaps someone else on the forum can.
