fuel tank sending unit help
Hey, guys, I need help with a sending unit. I have a early set of Studebaker gauges im going to use, they are six volt gaugeas and I need to know what I can use for a sending unit? Is there a universal sending unit out there? I have a Tanks brand stock style tank. Thanks in Advance.

Have you tried calling TANKS? I don't know of anything, but perhaps they do. I have also heard of some sort of reducer to reduce 12V to 6V, but I don't know if it would work in your case. Can you locate an original sending unit or have yours rebuilt by one of the specialty shops that restores gauges?

When I installed my tank I used the sender unit that came with the tank. When I installed the gauges they required a different Ohm than the one I had installed originally.I went ahead and installed the gauges ,but the gauge was not accurate, thus I had to pull the tank and put in the right Ohm sender. As for 12 V to 6 V that component is available at most electronics shops.Don D
