Relocating firewall to radiator support rods
OK, guys and gals - I checked the needed clearance for the 6 pack X-1 manifold, carbs, and velocity stacks and see that I'm going to have to relocate the firewall to radiator support rods. Anyone have any pictures of how they did that (suggestions also greatly appreciated!!)

THANKS, Dave!!! I think I'll try to do something like picture #1 so I can retain the original locations of the firewall and radiator mounts. Now all I have to do is find someplace/someone here in San Diego who can fabricate custom length support rods and bend them to shape/fit the application once I have the manifold and carbs installed. I think there's a place in Escondido that may be able to do that)

This site seems to have lost 2 of the photos the last two times I've opened it - here they are for posterity(or at least until I delete from Photobucket or my hard drive)

of course you must realize that once the rods aren't straight they no longer offer the support needed

Here's how I did mine, I fabbed "flame shaped" aluminum brackets to support my radiator, I don't care for the rods.
