I thought it was in a museum, but a quick search shows a man by the name of Rick Figari from california, who restored the car
Thank you very much! I will let you know if I have any questions. I agree it is good to see families working together on projects. Once again, great car! Don Jr:):)
You are correct Matt167, Rick Figari does own the original coupe today. Rick lives in San Fransico but Rick is not the one who restored the coupe, that honor goes to Steve Fitch from Witchita Kansas. Steve lives about 2 1/2 hours from me and I have been to Steve's house and got the REAL STORY on the original coupe. The story he tells sure is a lot different than what Figari tells in all the magazines.

I searched our local Grafetti Events calendar, but not sure if the car will be here this year. This is a must event for you and your car!

Hey stovens,
Believe it or not but I have already been contacted by these guys to have my coupe come out and do their show (when I get it finished of course). I will charging for rides in the coupe (down the same streets Milner cruised on) and I will be giving ALL the money to this groups charities. These are REALLY a GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE!!! :)
Hey Guys,
I was just going thru some old photos on my computer and I ran across this photo of the Original Coupe without the engine in it. The coupe is sitting on the side of the street in Witchita KS and on the other side of the street is the Original 55 Chevy. This photo was given to me by Steve Fitch when I went and talked to him last October.

Great looking car! Now you need to build Ralph Malph's 29 roadster pickup from Happy Days.
Nice project.I opted for 2 less windows and the backwards doors,BUT I LOVE THE LOOK.http://media.motortopia.com/files/11...3x423_32_3.jpg
speaking of American graffiti, There is a collectors 'toy' collection called moments in time, and they did a limited release of the known cars from American Graffiti.. ( Milner coupe, the Merc ect... ).. they feature a 1:64 diecast replica of the car, and a backdrop with original scenes and charecters from the movie put in a display case...... I got the Milner coupe, which the backdrop is Mels drive in.... the car isn't completly correct but it's close... painted firewall, liscense plate is the wrong color and number, and the yellow is more bananna colored than it should be
there made by Motor max and I got mine at Walmart
