Deuce coupe ute, pickup

A guy on my Aussie forum ozrodders.com is building a 32 coupe Ute, its different, but i think i like it :) He is going to make a few bodies towards the end of the year and see how they go.
I will keep you updated as to how his first build goes.

This is the plug for a mold that I have nearly finished.It is stretched 100mm to keep the proportions correct . It started off as a 5 window coupe and evolved from there. Here are some more angles. The cab was left untouched. The 100mm was added behind the doors to move the rear wheels back so it didn't look like it had been hit up the bum.The chassis uses stretched rails that Lilow cut for me. All the swag's in the side rails are there, only longer.The front 3/4 of the chassis is standard 32.The tailgate was cut into the body after all the body work was finished and the returns added.Thanks Steve

That will be an interesting car-until I see what the front end does for it am going to say one way or another how I like it(not that anyone else cares what I think :whacked:).

Barnsey, keep us in the loop for an assembled car - doesn't have to be finished/painted - :D

Have about 2 days for 2 of us to finish the mold.The old arms are getting tired from all the rolling out of the glass.The rotisserie is also getting tired as the mold will weigh about 250kg when finished :D :D Thanks again Steve.

I will finish the rear guards and running boards then off to sunny?? Queensland for a 4 week road trip then back into it seriously when I get back.
Regards to a cost I will figure out when I have all the bits ready. This body is all one piece with the floor and firewall all molded in together.

Actually very neat looking and it will give the owner a place to carry things like coolers, seats, tools, etc. I like it.

I like it a lot better with fenders. Cool!! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I do like it a lot better with fenders though I do have to say it's not something I would consider. The usual '32 lines are generally pretty well defined - vertical, horizontal and at close to right angles then rounded to flow with each other. The swooping back of the PU bed IMHO, does not complement that design.

Dave,I know where you are coming from..It probably doesnt look too bad to me,cos we are used to seeing the Aussie coupe utes,as they are called..The add on style that they have had all the way through to the 50s is the norm for us down here..Probably due to the fact that they had to build a vehicle for farm use,and carry the ''billy lids'' around too..:D...Incidentally,,have you ever seen an Aussie 56 Ford Mainline ute at all??Ya might have to jump on a Ford Australia website..:cool:

Well if there going to roast you thay might as well get me too. I think it would look better with about 3 or 4 inches out of the belt line. Sorry just my opinion

The 46/7/8 Fords dont look so bad..We are spoilt here in NZ,cos,we got the American issue with our cars,trucks etc,but from Canada,for export,RHD..while the Australians built there own,from the different body building factories,like Holden,etc..Their 59 Fords were still the 55 body shape...
