I LOVE 'EM,,,,no leg burns yet!!

No trailer queen here Whiplash,,it was on it's way back to me from Washington state after getting the flames painted on it.
That's nice black and red rims fit nicely, interior looks comfy also.
Hi guys ...I didn't notice any '32 owning women in here yet. I'm a newb but coincidentally just got this deuce roadster and as mentioned earlier, I've also been fully qualified as a dunce.
1bad32,
I love those side pipes! I'm trying to make mine more into a hot rod and less of a street rod and those would urge it in the right direction.
I hope it doesn't attract ridicule ...well actually I don't care if it does or not ...but I can hardly imagine a Deuce without one so I already ordered a Moon gas tank which I'll have in a few more days. More performance oriented "hot" are in the planning stages.
with the Sanderson Zoomies that came with it, but I'm thinking these will be a bit loud for the street (at least in this neck of the woods)

That's a nice looking hotrod you have there. The driver side shot without zoomies says street rod zoomies changed that, classic wheels also. That hotrod does say side pipes, however I'm biased and happily that way.
"I've also been fully qualified as a dunce." Now this sounds like it could be a funny story, please tell it. We all have had those moments.
Welcome to CHR ..
^ thanks, pepi. About the "dunce" I just said that since earlier in this thread there was some word play between deuce and dunce. However, now that you mention it, I'm sure I have some good dunce moves I've made over the years. If I can reconstruct a good one I'll post it here since I doubt my wife will look here ;) ...not that she needs any convincing.
Hey Nick. Welcome aboard. Great looking car, but in the second picture did you plan on using the Stihl leaf blower as a supercharger? **):LOL:
couldn't help myself.. it's early!
Aw missed the word play angle ...
not hijacking the thread:
30_40 I have heard guys that live up north or are building use those leaf blowers for garage cruising. They will fire up the old leaf blower, point it in the window and make hotrod noises sitting behind the wheel.
Hot Rod Nick,,,,that's an AWESOME looking Rod!!!
I personally like the look of a "Hot Rod" so that's why i made Mine look like this.
I love all types of '32's as well!!
Nice car, Nick. I much prefer the look our your car with the hood sides, but that just reflects my own personal taste in deuces. Do what you want so it suits your own taste.
Good one, 34_40! Since I have a soft spot for "leaf blowers" don't think it's not brewing in my brain to add a couple to my hot rod. I just don't see much done with turbos on hot rods, I guess since they're a more modern development. (?) Obviously other blowers (superchargers) are very well accepted in the hot rod world.
But back on the "deuce" theme, I could say "Good two, 34_40!".
I'm alluding to the fact that my other "fun car" has two leaf blowers aka GT2860RS turbos and as much as I think Stihl makes great stuff these are made by Garrett. And it's a very nice looking motor if I do say so myself, and with two turbos I can even sort of consider it a "deuce" of sorts ;) But I won't pollute this thread or site by posting a pic of something that off topic but here's a link to my other "deuce" toy motor: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...mymotorVsm.jpg
Hey guys, I'm gonna be a contradiction of myself now, Nick, and this just my humble opinion, your Roadster is amazing without the zoomies and with the bonnet and side panels fitted. I'm not a fan of moon tanks either but, hey, it is your car. Then colour, wheel and tyre choice is perfect.
Moter, your Roadster is absolutely stunning and it just screams " Hot Rod " to me, you have certainly nailed the look to perfection sir.
Thank You Whiplash!
Nick, thanks for the blower shot! AWESOME!!! Now we (I) need more!! Another thread please!!
Pepi, I've seen folks try the leaf blower thing but I've never seen it done well! ( although back in my youth I was known for knockin' the bronze valves off of welding tanks strapped to a creeper and me settin' on top! YEP! young and dumb!!)
Moter, beautiful ride!!! Is that painted Washington Blue?? And thank gawd you didn't put red steelies with wide whites on it!! Good choices all right there!!
Thank you and yes..Washington blue with Tacoma creme wheels that are 16 inch. I also have a set of 15 inch, painted blue with Hurst cheater slicks and super cushion bias on the front. He did a double pinner stripe on the front and a triple on the rear.

It has been tooo quiet around here,,,,,,so here's a few more!!
Pic of las incarnation. Never mind the pic since the last time I was here the forum has changed on loading pics
Good to see ya Moter. I thought you had fallen off the ends of the earth. Dont be a stranger. Did everyone see Mr. Moter roadster on the Snapon Calender, its this months car. Take a look
You too! Ive just been super busy at work... I started a new project this summer....53 Belair with a 5.3 and 4L60e....with a 72mm turbo feeding it . All under the hood :) Should be ready late winter
Yes sir starting to gear up here at Fedex central. Sounds cool Moter. interested in the motor swap. would like to do the same with my deuce, minus turbo. Or maybe uuummmm

Cruisin Ocean City MD 2012
Very nice coupe, Blown Monte. Did you ever take it to the weekly Shady Brook Farm Cruise Nights up in Yardley, PA? It sort of looks familiar and I think maybe it was there.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I ordered a Moon tank since I like them, so now it's mounted. I need to get fittings and lines and try to think of something "real" to do with it other than fill it with beer and run a -8 line up to the cab. Since leaf blowers were also mentioned earlier, if I would turbocharge it I could use the tank to hold meth/H2O for some charge air cooling but that seems like an unlikely path for this one. This is a shot when I recently drove it to work:

Gotta love those yellow deuces!
This is my first LS series swap...and It will not be the last. After doing this car with teh engine combo I doubt I would ever build another SBC. Alot of rwhp can be made on pump gas and get great fuel mileage....for alot less than a sbc
Not my '32 but a cool old picture from my home town. Notice the Deuce 3 window setting behind the funeral limo.

I like this pic below better than the one I posted above. I hope to never have to put the top on again << probably wishful thinking.

As you may have seen me mention, it's having minor surgery with a different motor going in next week (Dart block 427 stroker SBC, Dart Pro1 heads, etc), we beefed up a couple minor suspension weak points, installed a new Detroit TrueTrac, and are working on these bomber seats which I think will eventually get some leather pads along some of the seat area and part of the backrest.

Idea for top of backrest to pick up on the top lines of the radiator shell:

Will post more pics when done.
That's a Great Pic of your car!
10-4 on the yellow deuces. Now I know what mine would look like with black top and moon tank !!
Nice roadster!
For me, I like it just the way it is. The top color accents the body and interior, and the front frame horns don't need the embellishment. If you decide to get steelies (like you mentioned in another thread) I'd keep the slotted wheels & tires to have the option of swapping as the mood hits you. The slots & blackwalls fit the car perfectly, to my eye. I'd just drive & enjoy it.
Along the lines of what Roger says about the front frame horns, I have not put the Moon tank back on after my roadster was redone over this past winter. For some reason, to me it now it looks like it does more harm than good to the overall integrity of the roadster's look. Here's a pic from about a week ago:

As far as the black top, I have it hanging in my garage and hope to never use it again.
